If you guys love technology and the latest gadgets, you’ve come to the right place.  I’ve found the hottest new trendy gadgets you’ll want soon.  Some of these toys are about survival and just too good to miss.  It’s got purpose and style to make you drool over the latest specs.

Here’s the best 3 I’ve picked:

  1. Hitachi Maxell’s Mizusion lamp

salt lamp

Imagine yourself in a storm and the power goes out suddenly.  Well, don’t panic because this lamp is all you need.  If you’ve ever been in a hurricane, tornado, or an earthquake, flashlights are a must have.  However, this is unlike your usual lamp that uses no batteries. Yup!

Why you need this?

Forget about the AA batteries that’s needed in a regular flashlight or radio.  All you need to do is mix some salt and water and you’ve got enough juice to power your light for 3 days.

The ingredients work alongside oxygen in the air and a replaceable magnesium “power bar” to create positive and negative electrodes, which in turn generates electricity.

How much does it cost?

Available now, the Hitachi Maxell Mizusion is priced at $57.

2.  XBR-A1E is Sony’s first OLED screensony

Next, is Sony’s first OLED screen tv that has speakers embeded inside the screen.  You will be drooling over this new hot item that is too hot to miss.  Among other competitors is Panasonic who will be announcing their OLED real soon.  However, you cannot beat the thinnest panel from SONY that will come in a 55, 66, and 77 inch models.

The 55-inch XBR-55A1E and 65-inch XBR-65A1E will cost $5,000 and $6,500 respectively. Those sets are now on pre-order at Amazon, Best Buy and other retailers, and will arrive in stores starting in April. Sony has yet to release a price for the 77-inch model, but brace yourself for a much bigger jump in price over the 65-inch version.

Kong: Skull Island Movie Review

This film was directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts  written by Dan Gilroy, Max Borenstein and Derek Connolly, from a story by John Gatins.  It’s a thriller that is a reboot of the many past King Kong movies.  This movie is by far one of my favorite movies of 2017.  I advise everyone to see the film in 3-D Imax because the images are visiably stunning.  Go to a quality theatre for the full effect of the sound.  The place I was at was not top notch in terms of sound qualtiy because I could hear the speakers snap crackle and pop.

Hey, remember to follow me, comment and like this post.  Thanks!like_button

Attention:  Spoil alert!

My critique on the acting was mediocre.  I mean what do you expect from a giant gorilla chasing you all the time and not to mention the ancient creatures that jump out at you at every moment.  Huge bugs, flying creatures, and demon like lizards breathing fire, just had me jumping out of my seat.  It’s okay Kong can handle it.  There was this giant spider that was just out of this world gross and like 10 stories high blended with bamboo trees.  The humongous spider was the epiphany of monsters by far I thought that was second to King Kong.  However, I do believe the story line was excellent and there was a sweet gentle approach to King Kong.  Who would’ve thought an enormous gorilla would like humans?  Yeah, you guessed it, King Kong did have a sensitive side towards the only girl in the movie like all the rest of the classic King Kong movies.  The other creatures on the island was very icky and I wouldn’t be caught on that island even if I was paid a million dollars.  I just won’t have the natural skills to survive in a jungle.  Count me out of survival island.  The beginning had a Vietnam War touch because of the helicopters and army soldiers all geared up for the unknown.  Samuel L. Jackson headed the band of soldiers with a few good men that dies in battle.  Kong very pissed off at the foreigners that invaded his space, gave an angry “what the hell are you doing in my house” kind of vibe.  Yeah, you would be upset too if someone just came in start bombing the hell out of your house.  Too good to miss guys. Don’t forget to stay for the bonus footage after the credits.  I’ve also included some special pictures at the end of this article from the movie, so be sure to stick around.

It was filmed in differnet parts, which had the most beauty and greenery.  Therefore, the movie was filmed in Hawaii, Australia and Vietnam.

The cast consisted of Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Jing Tian, Toby Kebbell, John Ortiz, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Shea Whigham, Thomas Mann, Terry Notary and John C. Reilly.

Principal photography began on October 19, 2015, in Hawaii and various locations around Vietnam. Kong: Skull Island premiered on February 28, 2017, in London and was released in the United States on March 10, 2017, in 2D, 3D, IMAX 3D and in Dolby Cinemas.

Final Thoughts

I give it 3 out of 5 stars.  It’s playing in all theatres now, so go out there and see it before it’s too late.  Remember to see it at a high quality theatre that has exquisite sound and picture capabilities.  Trust me it will be worth seeing it by spending a little extra moolah.  I can’t wait until the Godzilla movie.

How to start living your dreams

How many of you think dreams aren’t real?

Well, I’m here to tell you that dreams are real.  You can start living your full potential today.

Sometimes in life you need that extra motivation to acheive your goals in life.  Everyday I wake up and I think to myself, “What am I doing today?”  and “How am I going to bring satisfaction in my life?”

Here’s what I do

I often search the web for motivation and I seek guidance from my husband or friends.  I search the Bible and talk to God often.  I just need that additional kick in the pants you know, that ah-the-girl.  I’m a girl by the way for those of you who didn’t know.  I just need a pat on the back or someone to tell me “your doing a great job.”  You know shit like that.  We all need comendation and a sense of belonging.  It’s what makes us go the extra mile.

Sometimes I need an outlet in life to combat the depression from my job.  I just don’t know how I do it.  Sadness is real you guys.  By the way it’s alright to feel sad once in a while.  God gave the ability to feel emotions be it happy or sad or pissed off.

Now Here’s the Best Part…

1.  Acheive Greatness

Go out there and make it happen.  To acheive a goal in life you need to work at it.  Put in the hard work everyday to make your dreams come alive.  For example, if want to lose 10 lbs., you need to start now.  Make a plan and stick to it.  Write it down everyday.  Tell yourself, “yes I can.”  I’m going to throw all out the junk food.  I’m going to start excercising every morning at 5am.  I’m going to put my workout clothes and shoes next to my bed.  You can do it!

Athletes and many successful people, such as Oprah, Will Smith, Arnold Schwarzenagger, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs contributed their greatness to hard work.

My absolute best people to admire

2. Don’t Stop at Nothing

I’m here to give you a dose of reality.  There’s going to be a period in your life that hardships and difficulties are going to arise.  I’m not saying problems might arise, but they will come.  However, no matter how painful or how much haters you have in life, you need to continue to push through every obstacle.  There’s going to be rejections and sometimes you feel like giving up, but don’t give in.  You could apply for the hundredth job, but just change your tactic.  As a result, make your resume shine by showing your best acheivements, but don’t lie.  Employers love it when you write down actual percentages on how you increased sales or solved a tedious problem.  Other predicaments you can overcome is maybe you produced a hundred songs, but only a handful is going to get played.  Continue to enhance in your singing or writing skills of your songs.  Maybe develop the emotional aspects of the lyrics or the melody to the right pitch.  The possibilties are endless for advancement.  If you want your dreams to come true, just continue to do what you love.  Just don’t stop at nothing, I mean it.

Here’s the #1 Absolute Best Advice I’ve Been Saving For Last…

3. Don’t Wait for Nobody

Seriously! If you want to acheive success you need to go and get it.  Don’t wait on the opportunity to fall in your lap because it’s not going to happen.  Go out there and hustle.  Meet people and network every week.  Make connections to get your brand out there in the community.  Continue to work on your brand every day.  Write down a list of ideas every single day.  Write down your goals everyday and be specific.

Here’s an example of my goals:

  1. Study data analysis 30 min
  2. Network with other analysts
  3. Write 3 blog posts every Wed, Friday, Sunday
  4. Blog posts to write
    • Intro to SAS
    • Forecasting sales revenue growth
    • tips to be great
    • tips for content marketing strategies (bonus tip)

There you have it.  Take these tips to heart and acheive your dreams.  Hey, drop me a comment and add to the list of how to acheive your dreams.  Stay tunned for more tips.  Until next time, keep hope alive.  Thanks for reading!

How to start your own side gig

Lets face it finding a part-time business on the side could be nerve wrecking, especially when you don’t know your idea will work out in the long-term.  If you have a full-time job please don’t quit that job just yet.  Carefully test your idea while your working your 9-5 job until you get your side job producing a decent profit before making that leap of faith.

Lots of entreprenurs make the mistake of thinking their idea will take off by just quiting their careers.  There’s a lot at stake when doing this because it’s a risky move of just taking the plunge.  The benefits and steady income is like a temporary cushion for the time being before you make the sudden move to make your side gig a permanent one.

I’ve been researching this topic for a long time.  When I first moved to New York I thought I could be my own boss doing software development, but there’s some obstacles I noticed right away.  The road blocks included:  establishing a credibility among locals, generating leads, and getting steady work were the toughest.  For months I wasn’t getting any work and the people that called me off Craigslist wanted my services practically for free.  People just wasn’t willing to pay for what I was worth.  Moreover, other employers wanted a bachelors degree in Computer Science that I didn’t have, so that left me out of the web development market.  Therefore, I was stuck and needed somekind of income fast, so I took a job as a Computer Technician with a company that didn’t have any respect for their workers.  Anyways enough of my sob story and on to talking about how to start a gig on your own.

I’d say take a full-time job while you start your side gig on your spare time.  Think of the ideas and test the waters first before diving in head first.  Here’s what you can start with for now.

1. Social Media Manager

Lots of businesses in your area need someone to manage their social media accounts because they don’t have time to do that.  If you are social media savy with Twitter and Facebook, look up some startups in your area and offer to manage their accounts for them.

2.  Content Writer

Being a content writer for other businesses is a great side business to start.  You can ask some businesses to write some content for their website for a reasonable fee.  Some people make up to $50-$100 writing articles for websites about beauty, technology or products online.  The great thing is that you get to do this job in the comfort of your own home.

3.  Web Designer

Choosing a part-time business as a web designer can be a very lucrative career.  The flexibility and income can be fantastic while keeping a full-time job.  People in your local area probably need some minor updates to their images or content on their website that you can do for an awesome fee.  Web design skills are easy to learn if you are thinking of doing this.  Simply go to websites to learn coding in html, css, javascript and jquery for free.  These websites include:, treehouse, and Skillcrush.  These skills could be learned for free and don’t forget youtube.  There’s tons of free tutorials on youtube, which I recommend when you’re just getting started.  Don’t forget Google too!

4. E Books

Packaging your skills and knowledge into a downloadable eBook that delivers value to those seeking to learn a skill, advance in their careers, or start their own businesses, makes for a strong value proposition if you target the right audience. Check out Leslie Samuel’s great guide to selling eBooks online and start building your strategy around this side business idea. This class with Tara Gentile on CreativeLive will also show you how to use your existing body of work to write an eBook within the next week. Put in some serious work with your eBook, build an audience and you’ll have a platform to pitch traditional publishers on landing a book deal—then you can write one of the best business books and really build your personal brand.

5. Resale on Amazon

Anyone can sell goods on Amazon, provided you have products to sell (or buy low, then resell). If you’re the type to hit all the local garage sales each weekend, there’s all sorts of valuable things that can be resold online as a side business idea. If you want to step your Amazon selling game up, check out this detailed guide to Amazon Clearance Arbitrage on SideHustleNation featuring an interview from Travis Scott of who’s turned this home based business idea into a lucrative money-maker.

6. Photography

Start a photography business by taking pictures or selling your images online.  There’s a lot of freelance work doing weddings, parties, business functions, and working for a newspaper.  The only thing you need is an eye for great photos and if you happen to catch a celebrity that could mean huge money.

7.Virtual Assistant

There’s many businesses that need assistants.  You can do this from the comfort of your own home by doing simple data entry, faxing, managing their books, running their errands or other desk work from home.  It’s conveinent and I hear it’s a great business to get involved in.

Words of Advice

Start a sid gig part-time first before making it permanent and test the waters before getting in too deep.

How to tell if you’re a writer

What are some signs to tell if you’re a writer?  Many people believe at an earlier time in their life know what they will be when they grow up.  It’s a common instinct that comes natural or just decide from a hobby that this could possibly be a full-time gig.  Today, I’m going to share some aspects of how I knew I was going to be a writer/blogger.

  1.  Writing at an early age

When I was about 8 years old I had a vast imagination.  I would pretend that I was a princess in a huge castle with dragons and an evil step mother and that one day my prince was going to save me.  I wrote my story down and kept it hidden from everyone.  I completed it with illustrations and narrated the whole thing in my tiny room.  Writing was an escape from reality when I was sad.  I could express my thoughts on paper and that made me feel good inside.  Thus, I continued my love for writing and books from that point on, but never got published because I was afraid no one would accept me.

2.  Favoring Solitude

As a kid I was quiet and reserved from everyone else.  I always thought I was different and intellectually unique compare to normal kids that were outgoing and playful.  My best friend at the time was my cousin and it was alright.  The other girls in the neighborhood were bitchy, selfish and wasn’t a true friend to begin with.  I couldn’t trust anyone that was my age in school because they often turn against you for whatever reason.  Therefore, I felt alone and trusted only myself and that still remains true today because lets face it people are not 100% authentic and trustworthy all the time.  The world was and still is a cold place, so I find gratitude in being in solitude most of the time.  Thus, I found satisfaction in writing down my emotions to God or writing to an imaginary friend that accept me for who I am.

3.  Being authentic

I felt I could be myself all the time by writing down my feelings either through poetry or a short story.  When I was teenager I loved journals and keeping daily logs of every day during high school.  In english class I thrived in creative in writing and managed to make the class laugh through a chain story that was a classroom exercise.  I remember the story like it was yesterday.  It was about Shaquile O’Neil having a busted up lip and making fun of his speech.  The whole class busted out laughing after reading the story aloud and couldn’t believe I wrote that.  Being the ‘goodie two shoes’ of the class and especially the quiet one too, that suprised the heck out of everyone.  I thought, wow!, If I can make everyone like me through my writing, this could be a great job for the future.  However, I just ended being a teacher for 10 years teaching children, but I still love writing and intend to make it one day as one of my goals in life.  I

5 Tips How to relax after a hard day at work

Do you ever feel stressed out from work?  I do all the time.  I often contemplate quitting my job after some people get on my nerves.  Everyone knows that annoying coworker who always complains or who are just plain lazy.  Yeah, you know what I’m talking about.  However, I want to give you some advice on how to relax after you had a difficult time at work.

Here is some tips for relaxing:

 1.  Take Time Out For You

This could be going to the spa or getting a massage.  For me it was going to a happy place that does massages or hanging out in the back patio.  Have some quiet time for you and cut any kind of noise, it’s worth it.

2.  Take a Day Off From Work

I know it’s supposed to be something you do after work, but maybe you need a day off to unwind a bit.  I’ve taken off of work at least once or twice a month to relax.  If your company doesn’t give you an option to work from home once a week, it’s really hard.  If you are constantly overwhelmed at your job, the demands from your supervisor seems unbareable and your coworkers appears to be brats then you are due for a break.  After a day off I was actually refreshed the next day and felt more productive to do my best.

3.  Have a Relaxing Drink

When you’re stressed out, some people have a glass of wine or a beer.  For me whiskey or a glass of wine is my drink of choice.  Do it for yourself because you deserve a relaxing drink that will calm your nerves.  Don’t overdue it thought it’s very easy to because you have work the next day and you don’t want to be hung over.  Hung over is not ideal for productivity.  Your coworkers will notice it and possible your boss too.

4.  Get a Hobby

I’ve noticed by doing an activity you love takes tremendous pressure off your mind.  Get any hobby, such as painting, playing music, writing, photography or whatever to release the negative energy from your body.  I’ve found that my muscles don’t get tensed and my headaches goes away.  I love to blog and learn programming on the side and this relieves my stress at least 90%.  The things from work suddenly disappears and all your energy is focused on what you love to do.  There’s something you get from a hobby that’s so gratifying because you’re doing what you actually love and not what someone is forcing you to do.

5.  Get some exercise

I noticed if I ran or walked after work for 20 or 30 minutes, I feel more energized.  I like to listen to my favorite music while walking around the block or on the treadmill.  After doing that I feel more calm and ready to take on the next day.

If you have some tips how to relax, please let me know by leaving me a comment below.

Wassup with all these Protestors!

How many of you guys are tired of seeing all these protestors?  Is this the answer to solving our problems?

There are widespread rallies held nationwide across the United States and in foreign countries mainly about immigration, equal rights, religion, and race.  The chaos of angry people had reached many lands for the hope of getting their voice heard one way or another.  However, does holding such protests create a division or unite us?

Why are there so many angry people?

Ever since Donald Trump was elected as our next President of the United States all hell broke loose.  Listen, he’s been in office since the middle of January and people are already judging him.  He’s been on the job for only a little over 3 weeks now and people are upset.  Okay, so people are mad because Mr. Trump is banning Muslims from coming into the United States.  So what!  It’s just a temporary ban until we get the immigration situation straightened out.  Frankly I believe this is a great idea.  I don’t care what people think about this ban, but everyone is scared about the recent bombing caused by radical Islamic groups.  People don’t realize this is for our safety and not because of Trump’s irrational ideas.  Trump makes sense to enforce this executive decision of banning imigrants from entering into the United States and it’s his duty to keep us safe.

Bug Off

Guys I don’t mean to be rude and sarcastic, but really, come on media news people give it a break.  I’m not hating on Muslims.  I love all people, colors and nationalities.  Lets be honest though Obama left us broke with high unemployment.  The United States owe like trillions of dollars to countries, such as China.  Yo, I’m like I ain’t got time for that.  Seriously dude, Obama, you hate America right?  No, this is just my opinion because he is Muslim right. Barack is like chilling in his big ass crib with his nice family while people in the lower and middle class got to bust their ass everyday at their minimum wage job or whatever to make ends meet.  You dig!  People that has money has no idea what regular people in America go through to struggle because rich people never struggled in their life.  Never mind already I’m just getting pissed off right now.  I need to end this shit before it gets so ugly that no one will read my articles.

That’s why I freaking love blogging.  You can say whatever is on your mind and be ranting.  Alright, peace, love and happiness to everyone.  I am out!

Hipsters Everywhere, ugh!

Hey, guys! Ever get peer pressure from a hipster.  For those of you don’t know what a hipster is, it’s a person who comforms to hip fashion or mannerisms.  The way I look at is why don’t you be yourself?  Dude, your beard looks retarded!  Look in the freaking mirror!  You look like a bum on the streets.  You might think this is America, yes but put on  some desecent clothes on.

I’m walking down the street and guess what I see a hipster with their nerdy glasses and Santa Claus like beards.  These are young guys resembling old men. They have just aged themselves 20-40 years ahead of their lifetime.  Whoa!  I didn’t know young guys had their fashion backwards, just hilarious.

How do you know it’s a hipster?

The characteristics of a retarded hipster is simple.  They have those goofy glasses, scruffy beards, and stupid ugly sweaters.  See picture below of hipsters:

You see people you can’t tell if their homeless, a lumberjack, or just an average Joe.  To me fashion has gotten way out of control.  See the first guy, he’s probably in his twenties, but he likes the huge hairy beard.  He could hide a bird or a comb in there.  So funny!  And the last guy is like you can’t tell if he’s homeless.  What has happened today?  Are we just too lazy to dress professionally anymore?  Are we tired of shaving?

The True Definition of a hipster

Hipsters are a subculture of men and women typically in their 20’s and 30’s that value independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of art and indie-rock, creativity, intelligence, and witty banter. Urban dictionary

A person who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream. Google dictionary

So yeah, I like how the Urban dictionary puts it by mentioning ‘the value of independent thinking.’  How exactly are you being indepnedent by copying another person?  When people dress and act alike, then you’re are no longer an independent thinker right?

But, Google mentions that a hipster is a person that follows trends and fashions, so this makes sense why people follow others now.  It’s a trend. But is it regarded being outside of the cultural mainstream?  Hmmm…this seems odd because now the trend you are following is suddenly being the mainstream.  Alright, definitely hip to be square there.

What I’ve learned?

I’ve learned to be yourself.  No matter what society says that is freaking popular, just be your own self.  Who cares about the rest and what people think of you.  Be you, do you.  Be the awesome cool self that you are.  You don’t need a beard or dress a certain way to look cool.  If people think you are weird and quirky then so what.  At least you’re not unorginal.  At least you have a mind of your own.  Be confident in your own skin.  I’ll give you an example.  If the rest of the group is jumping into the fire, would you do that?  No, exactly.  So my advice is to never follow the crowd.  Just be cool and create your own world while you exist in this crazy one.  Alright cool dudes and gals stay cool and I will catch you later.

Question for you all- What does being hip mean to you? Leave a comment below to tell me about your ideas.

Thanks for reading!
